What is paintball?
Paintball originated in the early 80's as a means to mark tree lines and cattle. It has evolved into one of the fastest growing sports in North America. Players at Frontline Paintball use carbon dioxide powered markers and biodegradable, gelatin covered paint balls.
There are many ways to play a paintball game. Players are encouraged to create new game plans. The most common game is "Capture the Flag", which involves one team capturing another team's flag while protecting their own. Paintball is great exercise, fun, and exciting.
Paintball is a great activity for private parties, staff parties, stag / stagettes, or just a gathering of friends.

What do I wear?
You will need a good pair of boots for trekking around the field. All paintball fields are outside. The dye in the paint balls is washable if you want to wear your own equipment. We rent coveralls to those who either do not have or choose not to bring their own outerwear.
Who plays paintball?
People of all ages and both sexes can play Paintball. We encourage a minimum of two teams of four. The more the merrier! It is a great way to challenge your friends, family and associates. Children under 10 are not permitted to play. Children between the ages of 10 and 18 need a waiver signed by their parents or guardians.
Paintball can be a great team building activity. Local businesses and groups who have recognized this include Zedd-Comm, Stratos Global, Aliant, Canadian Military, Salvation Army, Memorial University Commerce, Engineering, Biology and Chemistry Societies and many more.

How safe is paintball?
Parents, teachers and interested participants may be worried
about paintball's image or how safe the sport may be. They or
their children may have expressed an interest in the game. Paintball
teaches children and adults some very important "life skills".
It is also a great stress reliever and allows adults and children
to harmlessly get any excess aggression out of their system. Paintball
is a sport that is played by over 9.5 million participants in
the US alone. It is the third highest played extreme sport in
the USA. Paintball is also very safe. Statistically it is safer
that bowling or golf. This has been proven at our paintball facility.
In 16 years and many thousands of players and games we have never
had an injury requiring a visit to the hospital. Compare that
to other competitive sports like hockey.
